sarnia born and held back by an america bordering town
spent some time doing nothing but wasting it getting fucked up and lost in chemical valley, found determination in loathing both exterior and interior, burned empty parks and a lake once great, breathed fire and benzene, smoked and ranted, took my first step
got clean and adventurous

found lights and music inside vintage souls hiding in quiant but honest coffee shops and small clubs in dark corners of dirty streets, I spoke for the first time, wide eyed and ad attacked, rushed by, beat up and forgotten in toronto

headed west to Vancity and found more of myself there, fell in love with culture and beauty, breathed easy under mountain's eyes, got in touch with my roots and the trees, walked the line where man and mother shook hands and learned to live together, back packed with the swedes, the germans, korea and a wise man from south africa all tourists, and was allowed to see our country through foreign eyes

headed out west again, to make a future for myself, aided the homeless problem by supplying needless luxuries in larger than life homes, tore down trailer parks then threw a quarter in the cup, rode the bull at the stampede, felt loneliness and betrayal, got lost, a part of me died in calgary which cost me a pretty smile and a beautiful mind greed consumed those around me as they sharpened their knifes for a piece of the pie at my expense.... moved to the streets and stood in line for shelter and food, found redemption in the rockies but only temporary peace, swallowed my pride and it left a resentful and bitter taste

cruised south for awhile soaked up some sun and was cleansed by the ocean, left the past shipwrecked, learned to live happy with less, found appreciation in Honduras and my inner child in Guatemala, found peace in a culture of hope, belief and resolve, i found courage

Not regretful but desperate, tired and torn, drained, too many beginnings unfinished, knot enough ends at the end of this rope. Felt a heavy sulphuric ghost breathing on my shoulder, got eaten by the industry, became pyrophoric and burned brighter, gave birth to a chemical smile, found myself confined, down in a dark hole with a helmet on, breathing nitrogen 120 ft deep
and liked it.
